Tomorrow sees the first auction of the autumn season kick off for O’Donnellan & Joyce at 3pm in the Harbour Hotel on New Dock Street. Going under the hammer – unless previously sold - are 6 Dalysfort Road, Salthill, and 23 St Mary’s Road. Each property is distinctive in its own way and they are expected to attract good interest because of their individual locations.

The much anticipated auction season will commence tomorrow (Friday) when O’Donnellan & Joyce will place three properties up for sale by public auction. According to Colm O’Donnellan of O’Donnellan & Joyce auctioneers all three houses have been extremely keenly priced to sell and there have been excellent viewings during the marketing campaign over the last five weeks.

O’Donnellan & Joyce launches auction season to packed house

They came from far and near to the Victoria Hotel last Friday where O’Donnellan & Joyce held its first spring auction after the winter recess. In a sense it was like the good old times of packed auction rooms, the only difference being that the prices achieved were somewhat lower than of old. However the owners of all three properties had set the advised minimum values very realistically which goes to prove that if the price is right the property will sell. In these times of doom and gloom there was a real air of euphoria in the room, and the final hammer came down on two of the three properties that were sold at the auction to applause from the packed room.
